Preschool Graduation!

On Wednesday we had our preschool Graduation! This is MyKelle's second preschool Graduation and she will have one more!! She is such a cute girl!! In the picture above you can see a number a photos. The top right hand corner is her saying her memorized program part! She was so excited to get to talk in the microphone! The bottom right picture is her posing for a picture!! The two middle pictures are her dancing during the songs we were singing! She is such a performer and loves attention! Everyone thought she was so cute, one mom even told me to get her an agent!! The last picture on the left is of her with all of her stuff she got from her wonderful teacher miss Katie! :) This year they each received (the 3's class any way) A nursery rhyme book that we worked on all year, a scrapbook of all the fun events throughout the year, a certificate for completing this year of preschool and a prize for being such a great student!! ( the 4 yr old class got mainly the same thing. But instead of a nursery rhyme book they got an ABC book that they worked on this year.)
This graduation is the reason why I have been so busy this month. It took a lot of preparation to get all their stuff ready! But they did a really good job on their program and it was so fun to see them perform for their parents!!

This is Gage during the program. He didn't care about MyKelle, there was a trampoline he could jump on!!

That is until he saw mom on the ground!! This is me trying to help my Preschoolers remember all the actions for the songs they were singing, and Gage thought it was play time!! Isn't he cute!!

This is MyKelle with the best preschool teacher ever! (I'm not biased!!!)

I'm so proud of my little girl! She is so smart! I just know that she is going to be a great student once she's old enough to go to elementary school!

Memorial Day!

On Memorial day I went to the Bountiful cemetary with my huge extended family to vist some graves. My favorite grave to visit is, of course, my gammy!

We had so many people show up at the Bountiful cemetary this year. I think, and correct me if i'm wrong, that there we around 75 people that showed up this year!! I told you my HUGE extended family showed up!!
My papa is in the picture below! Isn't he cute in his hat?
This picture is of my mom and mykelle, but isn't the cemetary beautiful with all the flowers?
This is some of the clan!

Here is kelli and my cute little boy!

I had so much fun visiting with everyone! I'm glad so many people showed up! Love you all!

Update on my sick kids

So these past couple of weeks has been really busy for me!!! So sorry that I haven't updated before now, but just in case you were wondering about my sick kids and how they are doing here is an update.

We will start with Gage. On May 15th we took Gage to the Asthma and allergy doctor. I was really nervous for Gage, not knowing what they were going to do, but he did great. They tested him for the most common allergy's and we found out that Gage is DEATHLY allergic to nuts! I thought he was allergic before, but not Deathly! He has already had two bad reactions to peanuts and the doctor informed me that the third bad reaction is death!!! So we now have an epi pen for him and he is not allowed to eat anything with any nuts in it! He can't even eat it if the food was processed in a facility that produces foods that has nuts in it, or if the food is cooked in peanut oil!! It's been a challenge asking everywhere what they cook their food in, and reading every label, but boy is it worth it!!!
We also found out that he is allergic to soy, which by the way is in every processed food!! I'm not going to worry too much about this allergy because it seems that it just makes his eczema worse. (And we have cream for the eczema!!) He is also allergic to grass, cats, and dogs!! Those three things affect his asthma, so we just have to give him Zyrtec before he comes in contact with those things.
The doctor also said that his asthma is bad and needs to be under better control. So he is now on a daily medicine for his asthma. So far it seems to be doing a good job at keeping his asthma under control!

Now for MyKelle. Last week Mykelle had a Urinary Tract infection. (just got the results from the lab) We went to the doctors on Sunday, and MyKelle was really nervous because everyone had told her that she was going to have to pee in a cup, and she wanted to pee in the toilet!! When we got to the doctors, the nurse told her if she peed in a cup she would get extra suckers, that made her really excited! She did a great job and went right away! ( I know too much info-sorry) We have to go back next week to have her pee in a cup again to make sure that the infection is gone. So I'm hoping that it will be that easy again!! When the doctor looked at the result from the test that they ran in the hospital she said that it appears this wasn't the first infection! I feel so bad! I had no clue that she has been having these problems before! Poor girl!
She is doing a lot better now. She says that now she is peeing "nice and smooth!" She is such a cute girl!

They are both doing great today! And are not currently sick. (knock on wood!!)

Cute Things They Say!

*MyKelle finally made up a new story! I love it when she makes up stories, so here it is! (Remember she is only 4!! She even gave it a title and everything!)

Once upon a time there was a family.

Once upon a time there was this big ol’ family. And there was a mommy and a daddy and they named their children MyKelle and Gage. They went for a walk up on the mountain and then there came some rocks and a stop sign thing. And a talking mouth came and tried to bite them. And then there was this machine and it was really big, and so they runned away so fast like this…(she ran around the room really fast!) and then um they went back and then they saw a princess, her name was Cinderella, she had all of these friends; Grandma and Grandpa, Jo-Jo and Poppy. She had really curly hair and wore makeup, I can't wear makeup, just pretend makeup .....…. Well Jo-jo and poppy, Grandma and Grandpa and Cinderella fighted the chocolate milk monster, then the whole family got in trouble, so everybody tried to rescue them, and they did!
The end!

*Lately MyKelle has been asking a lot of questions about death, and about wanting to die so she could go see Jesus. The other day we were driving in the car and out of nowhere MyKelle says, "Mom I don't want to die, because then I wouldn't be able to see your beautiful face!" What a cute little girl!

*Gage plays this fun game lately. It goes like this:

Mom: Gage your cute
Gage: No no no no... Your cute!
Mom: No no no no... Your cute!
Gage: No no no no... Daddy's cute! (or insert someone else's name that is standing by him)
Dad: No no no no.... Your cute!
Gage: No no no no... MyKelle's cute!
He will even wave his finger in the air when he does it! It's really a fun cute game that usually gets played a dinner time and it will last a long time!

Ten Years Ago!!

Ten years ago on May 4, 1999 I was in a bad car accident. In memory of my ten year anniversary of my accident I thought that I would do a little tribute. I like to think of it as therapy to help me get through the day tomorrow!
Me and five of my friends hit a tree going 40 miles an hour. We even made the newspaper!

My life has changed so much since then! I am still scared of driving. While I drive I vision accidents happening all the time. I no longer think that nothing bad will ever happen to me. I think that if there is something bad that is going to happen, it WILL happen to me! Because of this thinking I am a very "cautious" driver-which annoys some people- and I'm the worst passenger in any car!!
This is my car after it hit a tree! When ever I see this car I'm always amazed that all of us lived through this accident!

This is me right after they cleaned me up at Lakeview hospital. We didn't know it yet, but I had a hole in my large intestine, and I had to have some of it removed. My hand was also cut very badly (later I had plastic surgery on it) and I still have a pretty bad scar on my hand!!

The accident happened right before senior ball. Everyone that was in the car was going together in a big group. This is our senior ball night. We all met at the hospital since the doctors wouldn't release me or Danny for the night. What a night to always remember!

I like to believe that I have done a lot of growing up since then. Sure I may be a little weird about driving, but I think that this has really helped me be able to deal with trials in my life! This accident taught me the value of family and how we can get through anything in life if we are able to lean on those around us! I'm very grateful for all of my family and friends that have always been there for me!! You are all the best!

If you see me on May 4th this year, I'm just asking for some hugs!! It's always a very hard day for me!!!
