Getting along!

After christmas my kids were so spoiled that they were having a hard time getting along and being happy! So we had a family home evening lesson about being thankful for what you have and being thankful for your family. Later that night we came into the living room to find this. . .

They were playing the leapster together! I thought it was so cute, it almost made me cry!!!This was the best Christmas gift anyone could have given me!!! I just love these kids!!

Merry Christmas

We had such a great christmas this year! I can't believe that it's here already! The kids got everything that they wanted and then some!!

MyKelle got her "touch and Brush" She was so excited! She didn't need anything else after that!

Gage loved his Gator golf and his army men and his bike! He just didn't want to pose for a picture!

After our Christmas we headed over to Darin's parents house for Christmas were they got more clothes and more toys that they loved!! Man these kids were spoiled!!!

Christmas Eve!

For Christmas Eve we went to my Grandma Gines' house. I love going to my Grandma Gines' house! I don't get to see my cousins very often so it's always a good time when we get together!

This year at grandma's we ate dinner and then Santa came. MyKelle and Gage were so excited to see Santa.

MyKelle decided to add a new item to her list for Santa. So tonight she told Santa that she also wants a telescope for christmas. I had to explain that it was too late to add new things to her list, but she should remember that for next year.

Gage was excited to see Santa, but this time he was able to function and unwrap his gift from Santa!

After Santa came we played a white elephant game that is always entertaining! I had a great time, can't wait till we all get together again!

Christmas with Jo-Jo

Today we had Christmas with my family at my mom's house. My parents have always spoiled us when it comes to christmas and this year was no exception!!!

When we got to my mom's house she had christmas all set out and it didn't take long for the kids to find their own chairs and wrap up in their new blankets!! I couldn't believe that they didn't even try to open up presents until after dinner. They loved the chairs and blankets!!

They got so many gifts that they just loved! Cute clothes, anything the name leapfrog (the zippity is a huge hit at this house) and other fun toys!!!

They loved playing the little piano!

My mom also spoiled us! She gave us a nuwave oven(which is amazing), a garmin, a food dehydrator, suitcases, and tons of other tools of fun things!!! Thanks so much for the fun night and a wonderful christmas!

Time to see Brian!

Every year on the Saturday before Christmas we go down to see Darin's older brother in American Fork (i think that's were he lives) Brian got sick with spinal meningitis as a baby and he now functions at around a one year old level. We love Brian so much and always feel blessed for the time that we get to spend with him. Usually the kids get a bit scared of him, but they did so good this year!!! I was so proud of them!

Then we go back and open up his presents! He loves paper, so we make sure we always wrap everything he gets! His toys are usually very simple as well. Anything shiny, plays music, or something he can throw is always a huge hit!!! The kids were so excited to see him open his gifts! They even handed him his gifts! (last time we went they cried and wouldn't go anywhere near him)

MyKelle had a good time with Brian. She would follow him all over the room trying to give him tissue paper or balls.

Watch out Santa, Here we come!

Today Santa came to the Walgreens in Clinton. MyKelle was sick and not feeling well, but nothing would stop her from seeing Santa.

The kids were so cute on Santa's knee. MyKelle got on his lap and immediatly started telling him everything she wanted for christmas; a touch and brush, a bike that wobbles a little bit but catches her, and a tree for her room. When she was done we asked Gage what he wanted for christmas, and Gage was so star-struck he couldn't do anything but smile!!! So MyKelle told Santa what Gage wanted; A new bike. Gage was so cute! He really wouldn't stop smiling until we left the store!!!

Santa sure is great with these kids!!! Your the best!

Poor Gage!

Friday afternoon Gage was taking a nap on the couch, and rolled over onto the floor. Well he has done this tons of times so I didn't think much of it. As the day went on I noticed that he would scream every time I picked him up, and that he was favoring his left arm/shoulder. I thought that maybe he sprained a muscle in his neck. So I attempted to put ice and heat on it. (which was not very successful) Well when he wasn't getting any better as the days went on we decided to take him to the doctors. And to my surprise Gage's Collar bone is broken!!! I felt so bad for him!!! Below is a copy of the x-ray. It's not a very good copy, but you get the picture right?!

In the doctors office Gage thought that he was cool, because he got to wear a sling!He won't keep it on at home, but he will if we go places!

My poor little Gage has been through a lot in his 3 years here with us. I do believe that he is the Travis (A.K.A. the accident prone one) in our family!
