New Ward

A few weeks ago my stake decided to redo the ward boundaries.  Well we ended up being put in a new ward where I hardly know anyone.  My new ward is called the pleasant hills ward.  Last week we went to our new ward for the first time and I was so amazed!  There was so many people in this ward.  We came from a ward that had maybe 20 kids in primary to a ward that now has 93 kids in primary!  There were so many people in relief society that every seat was full! (That never happened in the other ward).  So I thought to myself, "well at least I won't get a calling for a while, since no one knows me."  I thought that I would be able to hide out and be shy and no one would learn my name, so no one would be able to give me a calling.  Well boy was I wrong.  This past week I was called in to meet with the bishop.  I was told to bring my husband as well.  This made me really nervous!  Never has Darin had to go with me to get a calling!  In my mind I was thinking that this was going to be a really big calling!  After meeting with the whole bishopric I find that they want me to serve as the Young Women 2nd counselor.  Boy was I relieved!  I almost jumped for joy.  I have always wanted to be put in the Young Women program. so yes, I'm way excited about this calling!  I will be over the cute beehives that are still excited about Young Women's.  So if anyone out there knows of cute, and fun activities that I can do with the youth let me know!  I'm on the lookout for some great ideas!

Yea! Congrats on your calling. I love the young women. You will be a great counselor! The girls are lucky.

Split our ward?? I can't believe it. I guess we would not have stayed in the same ward anyway.

Yes I finished the book and loved it.

Hope all is well.
