We had such a fun weekend. We went camping up at Darin's parents property in the Unitas. We love camping at the property! We were not able to go at all last year, so we were really excited to be able to go this year. In the past we have gone up there with all of Darin's family (Parents, his sister, his brother, and all of their families.) This time Darin's parents were the only one's that could go with us. We were sad that not a lot of people could go, but we still had a great time with just Darin's parents.
The kids got really excited when Darin told them that we were going to go fishing while we were camping. The kids couldn't wait to go fishing so Darin pulled out their fishing poles and helped them learn how to do the perfect cast. They actually did really well! Gage was casting all the way to the sidewalk! They loved playing with their fishing poles!

Gage setting up the perfect cast! It was cute when there was no hook on the end of his pole, I got a little nervous when there was a hook on the end! MyKelle also setting up her perfect cast. She was less scary!

They are concentrating on reeling in their lines!
After the kids found out that we were going camping they were so excited!! When I put them to bed that night, which was still a few nights before we actually went camping, MyKelle and Gage spread out blankets on their floor and gathered all their books, stuffed animals, and pillows without me knowing. An hour went by and I could tell that they were still awake. So I went to check on them. I found them laying on their blankets just giggling and laughing. When I asked them what they were doing they said that they were, "practicing for their camp out" I thought it was so cute, so I let them sleep on their floor that night!
So as you can imagine when we finally made it up there, the kids were excited to go to sleep in their sleeping bags. So we went to bed early that night and I let them watch a movie while they were in their sleeping bags, which they thought was way cool!!

So cute!

The next day Darin's parents thought it would be fun to take the four wheelers over to Lily lake to go fishing! We were all for it! So six of us jumped on two four-wheelers with enough treats, drinks, chairs, and fishing rods for all of us and headed over to Lily Lake!

These are BethAnn and ricks 4-wheelers being loaded up for our trip. Darin, Gage, and I went on one of the 4-wheelers. And BethAnn, Rick, and MyKelle went on the other 4-wheeler. It was a fun 45 minute ride over to Lily lake!

This is MyKelle catching her first of FIVE fish!!! She won by catching the most fish!

This is her still reeling in her fish! Gage caught a fish also, but didn't want to reel it in because he was busy eating his cheese and crackers.

That night we had a fire and roasted marshmallows and starbursts!!! This is Mykelle and gage helping grandma set up the smores!! Yummy!

I love the view from the property, so we got a "lovely" picture of all of us camping! Keep in mind it had been two days since any of us had a bath by this time!!!

I had to get a close up of this picture, because Gage's face just makes me laugh!!!
Thanks BethAnn and rick for going camping with us, and letting us ride your 4-wheelers all weekend! We had such a fun time and can't wait to go again!!!!

Your family is so cute!!. What a fun camping trip. I love how excited your kids were to go. It is so pretty up there.
Wow, MyKelle caught 5 fish! Now, did she eat them???
Looks like a fabulous trip. Gage's eyes are a little spooky.
Fun, Fun times! I'm glad that you can go camping without running water, I am not a fan. Camping to me is a fairfield Inn.
I'm glad you had a fun weekend! What fun that you could just go and get away from it all!
Laughed RIGHT OUT LOUD at Booms comment and I agree with it 100%!
Glad you had a great vaycay and your kiddos got some quality one on one time with their Grandparents. That is priceless.
