beware of clinton city!

It is no big secret that i get the opportunity twice a day to drive my husband to and from work. He works in Clinton at the walgreens. That's not such a big deal, the problem is their law enforcement! They love to pull people over! Especially on 1800 N. Every time I drive down that street I see at least 2 or 3 police officers just waiting for someone to pull over. I have had many opportunities to be pulled over by the wonderful police officers of clinton and sunset city! Once they pulled me over 3 times in one week for having one of my front headlights out. (keep in mind I drove all over that week in many cities and the only one that pulled me over was clinton!) I have been pulled over for speeding and even once I got pulled over for suspicion of a dui! ( which by the way was the police officer being a dick!)
So now as I drive down 1800 N. I am extremely cautious! I always drive the speed limit or just a little under! Well last night as I was bringing Darin home from work at 11:00 p.m. I had a police officer pull out right behind me! Not wanting to be pulled over I decided that I would drive a little under the speed limit! Bad idea!! I got pulled over for driving 35 miles an hour in a 40 mile an hour zone!!!! Can you believe that!! I got pulled over for going too slow!!!! Luckly I didn't get a ticket-could I have gotten a ticket for that?
I guess the moral of the story is if you are in clinton city drive the speed limit! The police officers are out for blood!

Katie, you are so funny. I hear the Layton Police are worse. If they pull you over, they WILL ticket you regardless.

I hate cops.

You can get a ticket for driving to slow. you need to maintain the posted speeds and keep up with traffic or you are actually a hazard on the road. Now if they would just start giving tickets to old dudes that drive on the sidewalk 14 miles an hour hitting everyone's mailboxes. Also you have to have working head lights. if you don't that is illigal to drive your car because it does not meet utahs saftey standards, and you should have got a fix it ticket.

Love you! -Adam

That's ridiculious! I guess they are board. However from pulling everyone over all the time they shouldn't be. Serves us right for being cautious huh?

We have a place like that near where we used to live. But it was worse 'cause it was located on a four lane highway that went from a speed limit of 65 to 30 in 1 mile. By the time you slowed down--Bam--they got you. I think small towns do this on purpose because it is their main source of revenue. I admit to obeying the speed limits for monetary reason. Can't afford a ticket.
