Happy 28th Birthday Travis!

Happy Birthday Travis! (I'm writing this a day early because I'm very busy on Wednesdays! sorry) Travis is my big brother! We are only 18 months apart and I am so grateful for the fun times that trav and I had growing up! Here are some of our highlights!!
*I got my first job at Baskin Robbins in bountiful. Trav was already working there when I was hired on. So Trav and I had the wonderful opportunity of working together a lot. Trav never had a lot of patience for anyone, especially his sister. So working with him was challenging at times, but looking back I'm thankful for travis and how he taught me to "suck it up and get back to work." (I could have lived without being locked in the freezer from time to time, but oh well.) Travis has always been a hard worker. And lazy people annoyed him. (I think they still do!) He was never one to sit down on the job! And he never let me either! He taught me how to do a job that you could be proud of.
*Because Travis and I are so close in age we also spent a lot of time together at school. We had some of the same friends. He dated my friends and I dated his! It was a lot of fun to hang out with my older brother and his "cute" friends. I'm sure it annoyed him, but i will always cherish the times we spent together. He ran track in school and boy was he good! He had made such great friends in track and I wanted to have good friends as well, so I joined the track team. (until i fiqured out that I hate to run-so then I helped out the coach) I got to watch trav run at a lot of his races, and I was always so proud to tell people that Trav was my brother (that is when he won, of course!)
*After Travis graduated he went off to the army (but I think that was just because my mom told him he couldn't! In case I haven't mentioned it yet Travis has a stubborn side to him.) We missed him, but somehow we got by. Then Travis went on a mission to Argentina, and he was gone for another two years. Again we all missed travis and couldn't wait for him to return! We were so proud of him for the good choices he was making in his life and for the great example that he was to us.
*Then he came home and married Natalie (his better half). This was a fun time for all of us, because Travis, Adam and I all got married within a year of each other. So it was fun to be able to go through this fun time in our lives together!

I was the first one to have kids. Travis always liked to tease MyKelle, and because of this she didn't like him very much. But she did like it when he made her "fly". He tried to be a good uncle, I just don't think that he knew (or didn't care) that girls don't like to be teased.

Then Trav became a dad! I have never seen him more loving, caring, or even nicer then when he is with Addison! He is a great loving father that I know will teach Addison all the wonderful lessons that he taught me. (hopefully a little nicer!)
I love you trav! Happy Birthday!

Great job Katie, Just one thing, you and Trav are 20 months apart. I know, picky, picky Mom. I didn't know he locked you in the freezer, but I'm not surprised! Shame on him.

Wow! You're on the ball! I never had older brothers, and always wish I did. When I married Trav, I think I got a husband and an older brother all rolled into one. He really does like to tease people - I'm sorry that he wasn't (isn't) always the nicest older brother..I guess that's what Adam is for! ;P Deep inside, Travis really does love his family..and we love him, too! Happy Birthday, Trav!
