Today is my moms birthday! My mom is my best friend! I can't go a day without calling my mom to see how her day was, and I can't make a decision without getting her input! Growing up I never thought that this day would happen (that me and my mom would get a long!) But it has and I'm loving it! Here are some things that I love about my mom:
My mom is always trying to get us to go and do stuff together! Whether it is just hanging out at her house and playing the wii or going on a cruise together. She always says, "a family that plays together stays together!" ( I think she got that saying from her dad!) And boy is she always trying to get us to go play! I can't even tell you how many trips they plan to go on every year. I can't go on many of them, but all of my brothers and sister go a lot! If we are not going on trips we do many other things. We go to dinner a lot, we go swimming, we go to movies, and we go shopping all the time as a big family!

My mom is also a very good sport when it comes to the U of U football team. She cheers for the U just as much as my dad! Most of their vacations are planned for the reason of seeing the utes play another football game. That ways they can see the utes play at away games as well as all the home games. I think she goes to spend time with family and a have a good time!
She is a very crafty person! When we were growing up she would make a lot of our clothes! I'm trying to be as crafty as she is, but man is that women talented! It will take me a long time to be able to do what she can do!She is also a great teacher! Not just a great school teacher, but a great teacher to me! She has taught me how to make my Gammy's famous candy! She has taught me how to sew, how to cook, and how to clean!!!!! ( I know that last one is a shocker) She has also taught me the value in reading a good book! My mom is always reading! It doesn't matter what the book is about, she will read almost anything!
My mom is also a wonderful Jo-Jo. (that is what my kids call my mom instead of Grandma!) She does a lot for all of her grandkids! She is always wanting to spend time with them and spoil them rotten! I think she has more toys at her house for her grandkids than I have at my house! My kids are always excited when we go to Jo-Jo's!!
Thanks so much mom for being a wonderful example for me! You are a great mom, and a great Jo-Jo! We love you and wish you the best on your birthday!

Good post Katie I'm in the middle of doing mine and I also have the bear lake photo. I guess I didn't get the lesson on reading a good book, my ADD won't let me.... Hey look something Shiny! Happy Birthday Mom! Love you.
Looking for all the places to wish Jo a happy BD
Have a good one baby sis!!
Cute pics Katie. You have a hard workin' (and playin') mom.
Oh, forgot--
Pepsi?? With that logo??? I though Coke was the official drink of this family. But--now that I think about it, there may be something way back in my brain that remembers that Jo participates in this Pepsi apostasy.
Oh well, carry on. But the day of reckoning will come.
Thanks so much Katie, I'm crying at school now - that's another thing I do really well, cry. Love you tons. (You've got some lovely pictures there of me - ugh.) And Yes, Marilee, I do prefer Diet Pepsi. Wow, I don't like football and I drink Diet Pepsi, what a rebel I am in my family.
Jo, we love you! I'm glad that I am a part of your family. Thanks for being a great mom, and Jo Jo..I couldn't have hand-picked a better mother-in-law! Thanks for all of the fun times! I'm looking forward to so many more! Have a great day!!
