This week while Darin had a few days off we decided to take the kids to Antelope Island. Darin and I had never been there before so we thought it would be fun for the whole family!
Don't the kids look cute and ready for a fun day in the sun?
While we were driving around we found a really long beach, that didn't look that long from the road, And thought it would be fun to go Walk to the water!

Mykelle and Gage looking very cool! (at the start of our walk)
Still walking!!
This is as close as we made it too the water! Talk about a walk! We walked for 45 minutes to just get to the water. And when we got there we were too grossed out to do anything but take a few pictures and leave. The bugs were horrible, and smell was worse, and the kids were tired!
So we turned around and walked for another 30 minutes to get back to our car. On the way back the kids were too tired to walk so we had to carry them most of the way!
After the long walk on the beach we went for a drive, and found this cool view. It was cool because that was the beach that we walked on to get the water! See told ya it was a long walk!!

While we were driving to go to the historical ranch we found a bison on the side of the road. It was rolling around a lot, so Mykelle was too afraid to get out of the car. But Gage and I got out and posed looking scared by the bison! (that brown spot in the picture is the wonderful bison!)

After that we went to the ranch and had a great time looking at the houses and the old stuff that they had! Darin loves history, so he really enjoyed it. Didn't get any pictures though. Sorry!

I love that MyKelle said her favorite part was going home and Gage said his favorite part was Mom. Well, now that you've been there, you can check that off your list and never have to go back. Unless, of course, you want to go with me on a field trip! Yuck.
Can you believe that tourists actually come to SL to visit the great salt lake? Ick!!!
It's is a little yucky, but parts are beautiful! I'm glad you went on an adventure! Your kids are darling!!
Yah, Antelope Island is a bit better early Spring before it gets too buggy. The Ranch is a great backdrop for family pictures (that is where we got ours taken).
We biked out to Antelope Island on Saturday and decided it's hell on earth. :)
tens of thousands of Orb Weaver spiders. Great place.
